Ethnic Culture Explore tour is combined with Myanmar Karen villages and top destinations such as Yangon, Mandalay,Bagan ,Inle lake to have deep insight of Myanamar principle culture ,history ,architecture and arts and crafts. Especially for the tourists who are interested in indigenous and significant tribe like Karen women are worldly known as “Giraffe Women “because they wear a number of copper rings around their neck to have elegant elongated neck marking their culture most remarkable from other similar tribes . Yangon - Mandalay – Bagan – Inle Lake - Loikaw - Kalaw - Pindaya
Day 1 – Arrival, Yangon
Arrival at Yangon International Airport. Upon arrival you are welcomed by our guide. Transfer to Hotel to relax. Then visit the Yangon City.Yangon is old capital of Myanmar and stand still as first economic city in Myanmar. Formerly known as Rangoon during British period and remaned as Yangon during a few decades,Yangon has most colonial buildings in South East Asia and ever green parks and big natural lakes.It is always busy with dense population.
Visit colonial town on foot starting from ‘ Mahabandula’ Park ‘, Sule Pagoda,land mark of down town city, to national Post Office walking along the Victoria Queen style Supreme court, Neo- Calassic Styles Banks and other admistraives offices.
Then, have lunch at one of the best restaurant.After Lunch, visit Bogyoke Market,Reclingong Buddha of 60 meters long.Lastly, visit most prestigious Shwe Dagon Pagoda, built since Buddha era enshrining Buddha Hairs at sunset time. It is best time to see Buddhists rituals.Then Back to hotel and over night at hotel.
Day 2 Yangon- Mandalay - Innwa – Sagaing – Amarapura – Mandalay (By Flight )
Domestice flight for Mandalay is in early morning and leave the hotel around 7am.Flight time is only 35 minutes without via. Arrive at the Mandalay Airport which is 50 km from the Mandalay city. You will be welcomed by our guide at the airport. Then you will head to Innwa village which was capital of Myanamar between 14 and 19 century and is situated on the small island between Ayewarwad Day river and Myint Ngel river. Arrive at Innwa or Ava meaning “ Entrance “, you cross the Myint Ngel river by local boat for 5 minutes and ride the local horse cart to visit ruined Innwa palace and its two magnificent monasteries’- Bagaya royal family teak Monastery built with 260 giants teak wood pillars with and Maha Aung Maye Bonsan monastery which was built by queen Meinu.On the way you can see the village and pad Day fields.
Then back to the car taking same local boat.Then proceed to Sagaing Hill, home of over 200 monasteries and nunneries. Once arrive, have lunch at local restaurant.After lunch, visit the Hill. Start the visit with monastic school for young novices and nuns. Visit Swan U Pone Nya Shin pagoda on the top of the hill together with U Min Tone Sae temple with 54 statues of Buddhas.You will see very beautiful scene of the hill with thousand of pagodas and Ayeyarwad Day river.
After hill visit, we will drive to Amarapura.Immortal city, which was also the former city before Mandalay. Amarapura is main city of ceremonial silk fabrics known as ‘Lonyarkyaw Chaik ‘.visit one of the weaving family.After that enjoy sunset at U Bein Bridge built of 836 teak pillars running across the Aung Pinlae Lake.Then continue to Mandalay and over night at hotel.
Day 3 Mandalay – Minguin
After break fast, your guide will pick you at hotel to take you to see interesting sites in Mandalay. Start the visit with Mandalay Hill.From the hill you can see the view of city together withlast Mandalay palace.Then visit Kuthodaw pagoda which was built by King Mindon and house 729 white temples enshrining whole Buddhist text of over 80000 pages. After that, visit Shwenandaw Monastery,the original palace of King Mindon,the founder of Mandalay capital. After that, visit
Gold leaf factory,and Maha Muni holy Buddha.
After that,head to Minguin village wich is situated on the west bank of Ayeyarwaddy river. You will take local two floor boat and have lunch on the boat.It will take about one hour crusing up to Minguin village from Mandalay jetty. After embarking at Minguin, visit Unfiinished Minguin PhaHtodaw Gyi in the form of square block of brick damaged by eathequake.Then mMinguin bell dedicated to Minguin unfinished pagoda which is the biggest bell in Myanmar and second biggest bell in world level. after that walk along the souvenir shops till Myathein Dan Pagoda. Back to Boat and back to Mandalay.Enjoy the sun set from the boat.Arrive at Htoel and over night at hotel.
Day 4 Mandalay – Bagan by Boat
Leave hotel in early morning about 5 am to take fery boat for Bagan.Boat trip is around 9 hours from Mandalay to Bagan. Break fast will wil on the boat. Start to leave from Mandalay at 7 am. Relax the scenery view of landscapes along the river Ayeyarwad Day which is dotted with villages, different croup fields, small stupas of villages. Baat will stop at two villages. Wheat hat village and visit village.Then lunch at 12 on the boat.Then in the after noon, visit the potery village ‘ Yanabo ‘. After the visit, decend down the river till Bagan enjoying River bank scenery. Arrive at Bagan jettey and you are welcome Bagan Guide for transfer to your hotel. Relax at the hotel.Over night at hotel.
Day 5 Bagan
After Break fast, start your visit in Bagan.Bagan is old capital city of Myanmar first dynasty between 11 and 13 century and endowed with over 3000 old pagodas. It is also Myanmar first Buddhist Era Birth place and principle national patrimony
Visit Local colorful local market first.Then see most highlight pagodas,Shwe Zigone,the holiest relic Stupa, Anada, the masterpiece temple in architecture,
Htilominlo, remaining authentic temple of King Zayya Thenin Kha,Then have lunch at a restaurant on the bank of Ayeyar waddy river.After lunch, take a break for one hour at your hotel.After break, visit Lacquer ware traditional hand craft family run factory because Bagan is main city of Lacquer wares in Myanmar.
In the afternoon, visit Dahamayangyi Temple,the biggest temple in 12 century, Sulamani temple. Just before the sun set time, walk in local horse cart among pagodas for one hour to enjoy real beauty of rural site filled with the charm of ancients monuments.Then stop at sun set view point and enjoy sun set. After sun set,you are brought back to Hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 6 Bagan
After breakfast at the hotel, you guide will take you to Mount Popa,the highest mountain in the Bagan area and used to be home for 37 Nats,local guardians spirists,as well as an oasis of dry zone.
Mount Popa,meaning Mount of flowers is an extinct volcano and principle home of 36 Nats is situated at 60 km from Bagan.Drive time is about one hour.On the way,you will see rural scenic view with to Day palm trees aligning along the border of regional crops fields such as peanuts, sesames,millet and peas together with toddy palm sweet manufacturing huts.You stop at a hut to see the way see their production process. You can try Myanmar Toddy liquor and rice liquor there.Then proceed to Mount Popa. Arrive at Mount Popa and go to Popa Taung Kalatte, Shrine for 36 Nats and take the 777 steps to reach up the summit of Mount where there is Mount Top Stupa and you can have view over the plain and main Popa Mountain volcano. The accession will take only 25 minutes and dissension is just 15 minutes.After visit, have lunch at local restaurant.
After lunch,Back to Bagan. Stop at Minnan Thu village and walk a few minute in that area and viist the village.Then go to Hotel.Over night at hotel.
Day 7 Bagan – Heho – Pindaya - Kalaw
Leave hotel in early morning to head to Bagan domestic airport to take flight for Inle. Flight time is only 30 minutes without via. You will arrive at Heho airport.Then you head to Pindaya.It is 100 km from Heho air port.It takes one hour to get there.Pindaya is a capital of Danu tribe and is situated in Tea leaves plantation region. The scenery along the way to Pindaya is picturesque. You can see Colza fields,gingers,chillies, Cigar leave plantation,potatoes,cauliflowers and wheat plantation.
Once arrive at Pindaya, have lunch most famous green tea restaurant and then viist Shwe U Min Cave. Up to the legent, Name Pindaya come from ‘Pinguya ‘meaning ‘ Price Got the Spider “ that had blocked the princesses in the cave to kill . In side the cave there are over 8000 Buddhas. Then visit tea leave plantation ner by and viist traditional umbrella fabrication.Then proceed to Kalaw and over night at hotel of Kalaw.
Day 8 Kalaw – Loikaw
Kalaw is old Summer hill station of British Officers and there some old colonial houses. Visit market of Kalaw before the long drive to Loikaw.Loikaw (home of the long neck women ) is great place to sxplore unspoiled nature, natural scenary And that still preserve their traditions and way of life.
Drive time is around 7 to 8 hours passing over and through the hills and villages.On the wway stop at Pin laung.in the after noon,pass Phae Kon and Moe Pyae.Arrive Loikaw late and over night at loikaw.
Day 9 Loikaw
Breafast at hotel. visit the local market where minority people sell their goods.Then visit the Sanbori and visit the Palaung ( long –neck women ) villages.Lunch at local restaurant.in the after noon,back to loikaw and visit the Taung Kwel pagoda at the sunset time where you can have bird eye view over the city.Over night at hotel in loikaw.
Day 10 Loikaw – Inle – Lake
After breakfast at the hotel,drive to Moe Pyae. on the way,visit some palaung villages.Lunch at local restaurant and proceed to Phae kone for boat trip ( approximately 6 hours )to inle lake.On the way stop at Samkar village and see the Thar Kaung Pagoda and rice traditional liquor at the village. After that drive on into Inle and stop at one more time at the Potery village.Then baot direct to hotel and night at htoelin Inle.
Day 11 Inle
After Breakfast.Visit Inle.
Inle is situated in the Shan State and rise about 900 meteres high above sea level.
It is big lake surround by high mountains.in the middle of lake,there are over 50 villages living on the long stilts Bamboo and teak wood houses.Tehir way of life is spectacularly famous with farming on water building floating islands for tomatoes and other vegetables,moreover people called inthas meaing sons of Lake row their home boat with legs.
Visit the local market and the Tomatoes flotting gardens and old wood monastery called jumping cat monstery in the Nga Phae Chaung village.After that, visit thalae U village and Phaung TawU pagoda.
Then have lunch at local restaurant.After that, visit lotus and silk weaving loom, Boat and cigars fabrication.Then visit sliver smith and Karen ladies house.After visit,over night.
Day 12 Indain
After Breakfast, leave hotel to visit Inle.Start the visit the local 5 Day market. Inle lake is habited by former Inthas but around it are many villages of small tribes such as Pa O, Taung Yoe,Danu and Shans.Market is not daily one.It rotates the villages one after another every day. Market is so colorful and very typical.You can meet Mountain tribes in their traditional costumes,their foods,vegetables which are sold directly spreding on the old clothe on the ground.
After that, visit Indain Pagoda. You take the boat along the canal for 25 minutes.indain pagoda is on the top of the small hill. walk up the way to Pagoda and see the Indain stupas which are buit between 17 century and sone are in ruine ans some are under restoration.
After that,Back to Hotel.Over night at hotel.
Day 13 Inle – Yangon
Leve hotel very early morning to go to Heho airport.Then take flight for Yangon.Flight time is one hour. In late morning,arrive at Yangon.Lunch at local restaurant,Then visit Bogyoke market and China Town and Bohta Htaung Pagoda Then over night at hotel.
Day 14 Departure
Morning is free till transfer time to International Airport in Yangon. Then transfer to Airport and end of service.
